Vacature Contract Administrator Aruba

Purpose:


To manage and administer life and pension contracts throughout their full lifecycle (acceptance, administration, reinsurance, financial follow-up, and execution) in line with internal policies, procedures and compliance standards. The role contributes to customer satisfaction, accurate and up-to-date policy administration, compliance and risk management, and the company’s financial performance.

 

Key Accountabilities: 

 

  • Medical Acceptance: Reviews and evaluates health declarations from clients to ensure that all information is accurate and complete. When necessary, consults with the Medical Advisor for a second opinion and interprets the advice to decide on acceptance. This process ensures that client requests are handled fairly and within ENNIA’s risk tolerance.
  • Contract Implementation: Ensures that pension contracts are correctly implemented in ENNIA’s systems. Carefully studies the pension agreement and plan details to guarantee accurate setup. Also responsible for maintaining and managing different types of pension contracts within the system, ensuring all variations and updates are correctly processed and aligned with the agreed terms.
  • Contract Administration: Maintains complete and accurate records for all life and pension contracts, from acceptance to retirement. Processes participant updates, prepares invoices and insurance certificates, and manages correspondence. Ensures that all data is reliable and up to date, so both clients and ENNIA can make well-informed decisions.

Further Accountabilities:

 

  • Reinsurance: Checks whether accepted policies fall within ENNIA’s reinsurance limits. In cases where limits are exceeded, discusses next steps with the Manager/coordinator and arranges facultative reinsurance if necessary. Handles claims that fall under reinsurance contracts to ensure ENNIA remains financially protected against potential risks.
  • Debtor Management: Monitors and analyzes outstanding balances and collaborates with the Collections Department when needed. Ensures that client accounts are accurate.
  • Risk Management: Identifies possible operational risks and reports them to the Manager/coordinator. Ensures compliance with company policies and external regulations. By proactively addressing risks, contributes to ENNIA’s stable and reliable operations.
  • Compliance (AML/CFT): Applies ENNIA’s internal compliance procedures and ensures that all Customer Due Diligence
    checks are properly executed and documented. Reports high-risk clients or unusual transactions to the Manager and the Risk & Compliance Officer. Helps safeguard ENNIA’s reputation and compliance with AML/CFT legislation.
  • Projects and Improvements: Participates in departmental and cross-functional projects aimed at improving systems, workflows, or customer experience. Supports team initiatives that drive efficiency and contribute to ENNIA’s ongoing development.

Further requirements

Expectations & Experience:

  • At least a higher vocational (MBO+ / HBO) level of working and thinking, acquired through education or equivalent experience.
  • Aruba Assuratiën diploma is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in contract administration, legal, or procurement roles.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services sector is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
