On October 5th, the government of Curaçao rejected the funding from the Netherlands. The government has decided to allocate the necessary resources to ensure that the pension of ENNIA Caribe Leven NV (ECL) policyholders can be paid out in case their own funds fall short. Over the next few weeks, ENNIA, the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten, and the governments of Curaçao and Sint Maarten will be exploring alternative solutions for the restructuring of the ENNIA Group.

Terrence Agard, Olympic Silver medalist 400M relay (2021), will be sponsored by ENNIA until after the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. This will allow Terrence to give his maximum focus to his many athletic competitions in the 400M and 4x400M relay categories.

Everyone was allowed to submit a “heart’s desire” for another, the cost of which could amount to f 5.000. One heart’s wish was chosen for every island. The winners were informed on Thursday, December 23rd, that their wish would come true.

On 16 September 2021, The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) and ENNIA announced the sale of Banco di Caribe. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about the current situation and the restructuring of the ENNIA group.

The Girobank has reached an agreement with ENNIA that all clients who took out an ENNIA insurance via Girobank as broker, will be assisted directly by ENNIA from now on.

ENNIA will email a link to the vehicle owners and with one click they will be in the possession of their insurance certificate right on their mobile phone. A visit to ENNIA is no longer required.
