Art Rules Curaçao 2016 leaves a big impression
Art Rules Curaçao, the artistic summer program which lasted two weeks, came to a close on Friday, August 5th with a spectacular “Final Showcase” at Kura di Arte. The 120 teenaged participants were able to show what they have learned over the last few weeks in the areas of singing, dancing, theater, music, writing, photography and film, and it was impressive! These creative youngsters have made some incredible advances by being open-minded and by stepping out of their comfort zone. Art Rules Curaçao goes beyond learning how to take a picture or practicing dance routines. It is about showing emotions and expressing feelings through art. Under professional guidance, the participating teens have been given the tools to be able to express themselves, they have learned what it feels like to show their emotions, and conquer fears. Personal stories and individual experiences were shared with the other participants, and took form through poetry, dance, or video for example. The two weeks were also filled with lots of laughter and fun of course, and many new friendships were formed. In short: Art Rules Curaçao 2016 was a huge success and left a big impression with all those who participated.
ENNIA is incredibly proud of all the participating teens. As a sponsor, ENNIA has made a contribution to the development of these youngsters, the future of our island. Art Rules Curaçao is an extremely impressive initiative, made possible by a group of very enthusiastic people who selflessly devote themselves to the development of creativity in teenagers. We would like to express our sincere thanks and respect to the organizers of Art Rules Curaçao and Kura di Arte. Keep up the good work!
