Privacy at ENNIA
The communications which you have as a customer or a potential customer with ENNIA are mostly via telephone or mail, and - increasingly - via the Internet. The communications we receive from you via the Internet enable us to streamline our services and provide you with even better and faster service.
New developments continually pose a challenge. As part of the Delta Lloyd concern ENNIA undertakes certain activities together with the other companies that are part of the Delta Lloyd concern, and so extends its service provision on behalf of its customers.
Protection of personal information
ENNIA respects the personal privacy of its customers. In performing its activities ENNIA approaches the protection of personal information a priority. All personal data are treated and guarded with all due care.
Use of personal information
As a financial services provider ENNIA markets insurance and investment products and services. When you conclude an insurance contract, buy a service, or communicate with ENNIA, ENNIA records your personal details. ENNIA processes your details so as to be able to conclude and perform an insurance contract or a financial services agreement with you, and to keep a record of our communications with you as an ENNIA customer. In addition, ENNIA can advise on how to minimize loss and/or costs.
Unfortunately insurers – ENNIA included – are sometimes confronted with unjust claims or declarations. It speaks for itself that no one is served by this, neither ENNIA, nor its customers. Personal information may be used to prevent such wrongful use.
Confidentiality clause
Medical information is processed independently under the supervision of our medical adviser, who has a duty of confidentiality. Such information is solely used for the purpose of accepting or performing the insurance policy for which you have supplied the details.
In some cases your information may need to be assessed by the medical adviser of a reinsurance company. Your medical statement, along with any other medical documents received or to be received, such as examination reports, is stored in a medical file which is kept in the custody of our medical adviser.
Medical statement
When you have completed, signed and forwarded your medical statement, you thereby indicate that you have no objection that your medical data are processed for acceptance of the insurance policy, or performance of the service you request. Should you express objections, this could result in ENNIA being unable to accept the agreement since, in the absence of the required medical data, it would not be able to adequately assess the medical risk.
Extra information
ENNIA ,in addition, uses your personal details to be able to provide you with more specific information about other insurance products and financial services we feel may be of use to you. ENNIA may offer your details to the other group companies within the Delta Lloyd-concern.
