Feel secure using your ENNIA Medicard to pick up your prescriptions from any participating pharmacy. Your qualifying purchases are completely covered by using your Medicard. There are no out-of-pocket expenses when you use your ENNIA Medicard. Using your Medicard provides better service by reducing the chance of error when filling your prescriptions. How does your Medicard work?
With the Medicard and a prescription from your medical physician, you can pick up your prescriptions from a participating pharmacy at no cost to you.
Who is eligible for the Medicard?
You qualify for a Medicard if you have ENNIA's 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Children’s Class Healthcare insurance. Your insurance must also include FamilyPhysician Plus coverage without any medical exemptions.
Where can you use the Medicard?
You can use your Medicard at any participating pharmacy. Participating pharmacies are identified by a sticker on the pharmacy's door.
What if your Medicard does not cover your medications?
There may be an error in the system, or you may not have the right coverage. You must then pay for your prescriptions and then declare the costs directly with ENNIA. If you have the right coverage, ENNIA will refund the cost of your prescriptions. You cannot use your Medicard to purchase drugs or medicines that are sold over the counter.
Deductible
If a deductible applies to your insurance, the Medicard will automatically reimburse the pharmacy for the cost of your prescription minus the amount of your deductible. You pay the deductible amount directly to the pharmacy at the time of purchase.
