Vehicle
Having your own wheels is great, but driving in traffic also implies running risks that could result in damage or loss. With our ENNIA Vehicle insurance, you're not only well covered for loss or damage, you're also assured of quick and efficient claims service which will spare you as much inconvenience as possible.
Why take out vehicle insurance?
Comprehensive Vehicle insurance provides financial protection in case of personal accidents and damage caused by collision, theft, joyriding or natural disasters.
As a vehicle owner you are lawfully required to take out a minimum amount of liability coverage.
If you request a vehicle loan, the financial lender usually demands adequate vehicle insurance against theft and damage.
Want to upgrade to ENNIA Vehicle insurance?
Switching to another vehicle insurer is easier than you think.
You simply have to inform your insurer to cancel your vehicle insurance at the first possible date. Your insurer will confirm your request and indicates which date your insurance will be cancelled. If you do not receive such notice within two weeks, contact your insurance advisor or insurer and ask for an official written confirmation.
Your vehicle insurer will provide you with a letter indicating the number years you have driven without an accident or claim (a ‘no-claim certificate’). This provides proof of your driving history to the new insurer and entitles you to a discount on your new insurance contract.
Always arrange your new insurance before the coverage of your old vehicle insurance has expired. It is advisable and best to change your vehicle insurance before your current vehicle insurance is extended for another year.
Upgrade here and ENNIA will contact you within 2 business days to implement the switch.
Third Party Liability (TPL) insurance provides financial security up to the maximum insured sum if you are responsible for an accident that has caused death or injury to others. You are also covered for the costs of repair of the vehicle you collided with.
For adequate and optimal security, we advise you to take out more coverage than the minimum amount required by law.
Third Party Liability insurance only covers the damage suffered by the other party. If you wish to insure your vehicle against theft or damage, we recommend you take out additional Extensive Vehicle and SUPER ENNIA insurance. If your vehicle is less than a year old, Extensive Vehicle insurance entitles you to a brand new vehicle of the same make and model in the event of a total loss. SUPER ENNIA insurance guarantees you receive a brand new vehicle of the same make and model if the vehicle is less than three years old and is a total loss. Even if the price of the vehicle has increased since you bought it new, ENNIA will pay up to a maximum of 125% of the orininal price of the vehicle.
Often it is not just the vehicle that gets damaged in an accident. The driver and passengers may also sustain injuries leading to severe financial consequences. ENNIA's Passenger insurance is therefore an important and wise way to extend your coverage.
This would be nice, but unfortunately it is not always the case. Here are a number of important factors you should take into account:
- Deductible clause: the amount you have agreed to pay before your insurance pays out.
- Exclusions: events explicitly excluded under your policy conditions, such as damage deliberately caused to the property of others.
- Damage that exceeds the policy amount: if the costs for which you are responsible exceed the maximum insured amount, the extra cost will be your responsibility.
Many factors determine the amount of your premium, including the value of your vehicle, your age, and the number of no-claim years. While these are given facts, there are still a number of things that you can actively do to save on your premium:
- Increase the deductible.
- If your vehicle is more than five years old and are you able to cover the costs of damage to your vehicleyourself, consider converting your Comprehensive Vehicle insurance to a less expensive limited alternative such as Limited Vehicle insurance.
- Inquire about about our discount packages such as Super ENNIA.
- Drive safely and earn an additional discount of up to 50% on your yearly premium!
- Install an anti-theft system.
- Never leave your vehicle unattended with the engine running or your keys in the ignition.
- Always keep your vehicle's doors locked.
- Park your vehicle in a lockable driveway, carport or garage.
- Never leave valuables in sight inside your vehicle.
- Park your vehicle in a well-lit and preferably un-remote area.
- Remove all removable electronic equipment (such as radio) after parking your vehicle.
- Park between other vehicles to make towing it away more difficult.
