If your vehicle has been damaged in a collision, it’s important to know exactly what you need to do. This way ENNIA can provide you with the best assistance in handling your claim.

Register the accident

  • Call Curacao Road Services (CRS) at 199 immediately after the accident.
  • Wait for CRS without moving your vehicle.
  • Always wait for CRS to arrive at the scene of the accident to submit a claim. Without a CRS report, you cannot submit a claim.
  • Keep the print-out that CRS gives you. It is very important when claiming damage with ENNIA.
  • Do not make any statements to anyone about compensation.
  • Write down the names, addresses and telephone numbers of witnesses, if there are any.

Report the theft to the police
Report the theft of your vehicle to the police as soon as you discover it. Bring a copy of the police report with you when you report the theft in person to ENNIA.

Report the theft of your vehicle to ENNIA or your independent insurance adviser, as soon as possible. There you can complete a claim form when you report the theft.

Replacement vehicle
Depending on the terms of your insurance policy, you may be entitled to a replacement vehicle.

Payment of your claim
A claim for the total loss of a vehicle is paid after 30 days (if the vehicle is not recovered). If your vehicle is recovered at any time within the first 30 days, you are obliged to take it back. If the vehicle is damaged, ENNIA will cover your loss. If the vehicle is not recovered within 30 days, ENNIA will compensate you for the market value of your vehicle. The necessary report can be obtained from the police and must be submitted to ENNIA.  Theft is not covered under Third Party Liability (TPL) insurance.

Reporting vehicle break-in to the police
Report the vehicle break-in to the police immediately.  A copy of the police report  is required when you file a claim with ENNIA.

No-claim discount not affected
Reporting a vehicle break-in will not affect your no-claim discount. Break-in is not covered under Third Party Liability (TPL) insurance.

Glass breakage

In case of glass breakage, it’s important to know exactly what you need to do. This way ENNIA can provide you with the best assistance in handling your claim.

Register the glass breakage
If the glass was broken because someone broke into your vehicle, you must report the incident to the police and provide ENNIA with a copy of the police report.
If the glass was broken due to something else (e.g. a rock hit your windshield), then it is NOT necessary to report the incident to the police.
In all cases you must complete and sign a claim form.
An ENNIA claims assessor will assess the damage to your vehicle.

Glass repair
After reporting the breakage to ENNIA, the vehicle can be brought to a repair company where the glass will be repaired or replaced after ENNIA approves the work to be done. Afterwards, the repair company will send the bill directly to ENNIA. 

If the glass isn't in stock, then the repair company may temporarily repair the damage while waiting for the replacement glass.

No-claim discount not affected
Reporting a claim for glass breakage will not affect your no-claim discount. In addition, there is no deductible for vehicle glass breakage. Glass breakage is not covered under Third Party Liability (TPL) insurance.
